Easy Rava Laddu Recipe

Rava Laddu is very easy to prepare and will definitely be your favourite sweet that can be prepared within few minutes. You will really love the coarse texture of Rava and crunchy taste of coconut. Prepare Rava Ladoo and make your festival rich.




Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Sooji or semolina
  • ¼ cup - Coconut powder
  • ¼ cup - Butter or ghee
  • ¾ cup - Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons - Crushed cashews
  • 1 tablespoon - Raisins
  • ¼ teaspoon - Cardamom powder
  • ¼ cup - Boiled milk

Directions
  • Place a pan on flame and add ghee or clarified butter to it.
  • Roast the cashews for 1 minute till they turn golden brown in color.
  • Remove them to a plate and add raisins to it.
  • Fry them till they puff out. Transfer them to same plate.
  • Add some more ghee and add rava to it.
  • Roast the rava for about 5 to 7 minutes until its color slightly changes to golden brown.
  • Add coconut to it and roast 2 more minutes.
  • Add nuts, cardamom and sugar and mix them well.
  • Off the flame and add 2 tablespoons of milk.
  • Mix it well so that is has be moist to shape the laddus.
  • Allow the mixture to cool for about 5 minutes and start preparing the laddus little smaller than golf ball using palms.
  • Add little milk if you want the laddus to be little moist.
  • Keep them aside for one hour and serve them after one hour.

Tasty Kaju Barfi - Sweets


Diwali Special - Want to prepare a sweet dish. Here is a quick recap of the Kaju Barfi recipe with simple ingredients in a step-by-step method. Take a glance over the cooking direction.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cashew
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 5 tsp of water
  • 1 tsp of ghee or coconut oil
  • 1 tsp chopped rose petals or 6-10 strands of  saffron

Method:

  • Take the cashews and powder it using a mixer or a blender.
  •  Place a pan with low heat and add water to it.
  •  Once it is heated, add the sugar to it until it is thickened.
  •  Meanwhile, grease a plate with ghee or use butter papers if available.
  •  Once the syrup is thickened, add the cashew mixture into it under low flame.
  •  Cook the cashew mixture 7-8 minutes until it comes together.
  •  Remove the whole lump into the plate or a pan.
  •  Add the ghee or oil to this mixture and when it is hot knead the  cashew mixture.
  •  Grease the butter paper with ghee or oil and flatten the dough using a tray or a plate.
  •  Place the butter paper on the top with the thickness of 3-5 mm in the dough.
  •  Once the mixture is cooled down, then remove the butter paper.
  •  Make the dough into the rolls in a proper shape to ensure that it should be in shape.
  •  When it comes to the room temperature, cut into a diamond shape or a square shape using a knife.

Yummy Kaju Barfi is ready to serve, tastes better with saffron. If you are crazy about Barfi you can also try Coconut Barfi.

Note: If using saffron roast them in a pan until coarsely powder them into a mortar- pestle, then adds the powdered saffron into the cashew rough.
If you are using rose water, add it to the sugar syrup.

Tip: If you want to prepare an instant Barfi also you can directly add the powdered sugar to the cashew dough which is quite easy and simple to prepare.
