How to Prepare Ras Malai Recipe

Ras Malai Recipe

Ras Malai is a very delicious and royal dish. This Indian cuisine, mostly prepared on occasions but it is all the time favorite recipe. Here, I have the recipe to prepare this sweet at home.

Ingredients :

For ras malai balls:

1 Liter                : Milk(Creamy)
4 Tablespoons   :  Lemon Juice
1 Teaspoon        : Corn Flour
4 Cups               : Water
1 Cup                : Sugar

For the (syrup):

500 Ml                : Milk (Creamy)
5-6                       : Green Cardamom (Crushed)
APinch                : Saffron
3-4 Tablespoons : Sugar
Few                     : Pistachios (Chopped)

Directions :

Step1  : Put milk in a heavy bottom pan and boil it. Once it boiled, add ½ cup of water to decrease the temperature of milk.

Step2  : After 5-10 minutes, add lemon juice in the milk till the milk curdles completely.

Step3  : Separate water and chena with the help of strainer.

Step4  : Now rinse the chena under tap water.

Step5  : Squeeze the remaining water from chena with hands.

Step6  : Add corn flour in it and mash in finely.

Step7  : Once it’s smooth make small ball out of it and set aside to cool.

Step8  : Now, start making syrup.

Step9  : Take your full cream milk in a heavy bottom pan and heat it.

Step10 : Reduce it to half.

Step11 : Add saffron, cardamom powder, pistachios and sugar.

Step12 : Keep boiling for 5 minutes more.

Step13 : Off the flame and set syrup to cold.

Step14 : When it gets cold, put chena balls in the syrup.

Step15 : Garnish with pistachios and serve cold as well as hot.

Kids Friendly Thekua Recipe

Thekua is the rural homemade cookie of north India. It is famous in Bihar and Jharkhand states of the country. The dish is made up with whole-wheat flour, sugar and ghee. It is so crispy and Children loved to have it. 

It is healthy and homemade so you can prefer thekua as cookie in place of packed biscuits.



Ingredients

1/2 Cup Oil
1/2 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
1/2 Cup Coconut (Grated)
1 Cup Hot Water
400 Grams Jaggery (Grated) Or Sugar
500 Grams Whole Wheat Flour
2 Cup Ghee Or Oil (For Deep Frying)

Directions

Step1 Combine jaggery or sugar and water in a pan.
Step2 Put the pan on flame, heat and dissolve the sugar or jaggery.
Step3 When it dissolved, switch off the flame and put aside to get cool.
Step4 Now, take wheat flour in a large bowl.
Step5 Put coconut and cardamom powder and mix well.
Step6 Now, add oil and mix gently with hands.
Step7 Put sugar or jaggery water and kneed into a stiff dough.
Step8 Divide in into 5 equal portions.
Step9 Shape it round and long, according to your choice.
Step10 Ensure the thickness is not more than an inch.
Step11 Now heat ghee or oil in a deep bottom pan.
Step12 Put few thekua at a time and cook on low flame.
Step13 Deep fry, till it turns into brown colour.
Step14 Drain and let it get cold.
Step15 Keep in an airtight container.

Sweet French Toast Recipe

Ingredients

  • 150 M Cream
  • 4  Eggs
  • 1 Tbsp  Grated Sweet Lime Rind
  • 2 Tbsp  Castor Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp  Orange Juice
  • 2 Tbsp  Cinnamon Powder
  • 10 Slices  One Day Old Bread
  • 150 gms  Butter
  • Sifted Icing Sugar
  • Cut Fruits

Directions

Step1 - Take the ingredients eggs, sugar, rind, cream, spice, juice and mix them well together.
Step2 - Take a pan and some butter should be fried. Dip bread slices into the egg mixture and cook until it changes to golden color on both sides.
Step3 - Sprinkle with icing sugar. Any fruit of choice can be used to top it with.

Dry Fruit Laddu | Healthy Sweets




Dry fruit laddu are specially prepared for pregnant women and new moms because, it is good for nursing mother and it also increases feed for the baby, but anybody can have these laddu as a good source of health.


Ingredients:


  • ½ kg: Mix nuts, dates and dry coconut
  • ½ kg: jaggery or palm sugar/ palm Jaggery
  • Few tablespoons: Tiny rock sugar (Optional)
  • ½ teaspoon: Green cardamom powder
  • 3 tablespoons: Ghee

Directions:


  • Combine all the nuts in a blender and blend them roughly, also chop dates.
  • Take a heavy bottom pan and heat ghee.
  • Put the blended nuts, seeds, coconut and roast them for 3-5 minutes.
  • Now add the chopped date's cardamom powder and fry them for a few minutes.
  • Put grated jaggery and 2 tablespoons water in another heavy bottom pot.
  • Place the pot on the low heat, and let them melt.
  • Filter this syrup.
  • Now, add 1 tablespoon ghee into the syrup and continue to boil it for some time.
  • Now, pour this syrup to the roasted nuts and mix it well.
  • Cook it for some time on a low flame, insure the flame is low to avoid burning.
  • Now, switch off the flame and let the mixture come down warm or at room temperature.
  • Now, make small balls and keep it an airtight container.

If you are using rock sugar, then add it during frying nuts.  You can carry these laddu during long journeys and can have them as half meal.


Dry fruit laddu is very healthy for new mothers and children. It is one of the popular own version of Indian healthy food laddu. You must have it during pregnancy for the goodwill of your own and baby as well.
